Research and Innovation Centre, Queenstown
Case Study
Overview
No crane was available when the foundations for this building were poured, as the site sat under the flight path to the Queenstown Airport. However, construction continued at pace because the lightweight FormShore AluFix panels were easily installed by hand and the efficient panel sizes meant that very little timber make-up was required.
The off-form finish did not require any remedial work.
Whakatu Packhouse
Case Study
Overview
This 12,500 square metre apple packhouse was built on an old orchard site. The FormShore AluFix panels were gang formed so they could easily be moved to repeat the large ground beams across the site.
Frederick Street, Wellington
Case Study
Overview
This social housing apartment block was built with the MevaDec slab forming system. MevaDec provided an efficient solution with its drophead props staying in place while the pans were recycled for the next floor. The resulting flat soffit made the installation of services and partition walls a breeze.
